Affordable Adoption? + Resources for Birthmothers

August 1, 2011

The process of adopting may seem daunting to struggling families eager to welcome children, but there is hope for prospective parents. In this week's "Raising Kids on a Shoestring" installment, Suzan Sammons provides essential pointers for "Affordable Adoption."

Welcoming a child through adoption doesn't have to break the bank. Don't let exaggerated rumors about the cost of adoption keep you from exploring how affordable it might be to bring a child home.

Feminists for Life believes that birthmothers deserve unconditional support from parents, family and friends, counselors and adoption agencies, schools and workplaces, and prospective adoptive parents. Included with Suzan's article is a sidebar of "Resources for Birthmothers," websites that provide information about the adoption process and support for women who have placed a child for adoption.

Please forward this email and share these resources with your friends, family members, coworkers, and anyone you know who may be able to use them.
